Environmental benefits: Every tonne of paper recycled requires 40 per cent less energy and water to produce than paper manufactured from virgin wood pulp. It can also reduce air pollution by 74 per cent and water pollution by 35 per cent. Recycling paper saves trees and therefore reduces the negative effects on habitats and the environment.

How to recycle:
Paper is one of the easiest things to recycle. You can recycle paper in your kerbside box, at recycling points nearby or at household waste recycling sites.


The types of paper you can recycle are: newspapers, magazines, pamphlets, paper junk mail, white and coloured paper in your kerbside box or in paper recycling banks.
