Learning from the real team players
If you want a shining example of the power of team effort, there’s no need to look further than the UK’s sportsmen and women. Positivity, passion, commitment – they’ve got them in bucket-loads. And they’ve lessons to teach us all in our drive to create a truly sustainable Britain for 2012.
London 2012
The aim is that London’s Olympic and Paralympic Games will be truly sustainable and, as a sustainability partner of London 2012, EDF Energy is already limbering up to play its part.
The ambition of Team Green Britain is even bigger. To bring people together in the true Olympic spirit and prove that Britain can be a winner in the race against climate change.
Join the team and you can help to make it happen. At the same time, get the inside track on the Olympic and Paralympic Games, with exclusive access to tickets, sustainable merchandise and the chance to meet our Olympic and Paralympic ambassadors.
Our Olympic and Paralympic ambassadors
Who better to start inspiring us than some of the world’s most inspirational people?
Olympic double-gold medallist James Cracknell and Olympic gold medallist and world champion Victoria Pendleton have already signed up to Team Green Britain. They’ll be visiting schools in the run-up to Green Britain Day on 10 July. Spreading the word that, if we work together as a team, we can all have a bigger impact on climate change.
Victoria, when she’s not beating the world on her bike, lives a very green life.
